Luke Jerram Edison Engagement Ring

This isn’t related to textiles but it is craft.
Romantic doesn’t even begin to describe what Luke Jerram did for his girlfriend:
“Working with a jeweller and the vinyl record manufacturer Dubstudios, I created this engagement ring for my partner Shelina. The ring has a 20 second recorded message (my proposal) etched onto it’s surface and can be played back with a miniature record player.”

I love this idea, in fact everyone who’s ever seen it loves the idea. And just when you think it’s the cutest thing you’ve ever seen, the wedding ring is even more personal and unique. Luke was inundated with requests after he made this ring but he told them that it’s intended only for his wife. Making any more would take away what makes it special.

I couldn’t agree more.
